Hilda Altschule Coates (Russian/American, 1900 - 1983)
 
This mixed media collage on paper abstract by well listed Bauhaus trained Russian/American artist Hilda Altschule measures 8" x 6-1/2" and is signed and dated lower left, H. Altschule 72'.  The painting also has a University of Rochester Memorial Art Gallery label verso with a description and information relative to their lending and sales gallery program.  The artwork is in good condition with vivid colors and is a quintessential representation of her works.
