Jorge Braun (Born 1951, Uruguay) 

This beautiful seascape oil on canvas painting of crashing waves measures 32" x 28" and is an unstretched original canvas, signed lower right, Braun. The painting came from an estate and was never stretched and framed.  This painting is in wonderful overall condition with no paint loss, in-painting or color loss since it was kept rolled away out of the sunlight and other elements... just a wonderful representation of Jorge Braun's work. 

Biography:

Jorge Andres Tarallo Braun 

Jorge Braun was bor 1951 in Montevideo, Uruguay where he studied at the National Arts School under the direction of the well-known artists Riveiro and Garino.  In 1972, he came to the US to begin his career as a painter. A growing number of collectors have followed his work in gallery exhibitions in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, New York, Chicago and other cities throughout the United States.  Jorge Braun's  portrait and landscape paintings are considered to be very Rembrandtesque in style and manner, a term that has been consistently used by fine art critics, connoisseurs and collectors in describing Braun's work.
